Thank you for your interest in Tulane Catholic's STUDENT LEADERSHIP TEAM!
Being a member of SLT is a great and exciting responsibility! You will be challenged in new ways to live out your faith and to develop crucial leadership skills for adult service in the Church. This is no ordinary club, this is the Church, and you are a part of it!
Service on the Student Leadership Team (S.L.T. or “salt” - Matthew 5:13) is a peer ministry and its purpose is to lead through teamwork, prayer, and discipleship to further the mission of helping college students grow together into the saints they are called to be. SLT members model Christian discipleship and servant leadership, expecting no gain or recognition for their service. Student leaders do not just plan or manage––they become disciples and evangelizers, “fishers of students” (Luke 5:10). They joyfully and faithfully represent Jesus and his Church in all areas of college life (Matthew 10:40; Romans 10:14-17).
The application process for SLT this year will be different than previous years. When applying for SLT, you will not apply for a specific position. We are looking for students eager to serve our community and excited about service, not a specific job. Once the team is formed, roles will be determined. We believe that the most important thing is first to have a team that works well together.
After applying, you will be asked to take a short 10-minute assessement called "The Working Genius Assessement". This test is designed to help us understand your working styles and gifts. You will be sent a link to this assessement after you submit the application below.
Applications will open on Sunday, November 22nd at midnight and will be available through December 7th at midnight. You will be asked to select a preferred time and date for a mandatory 30-minute zoom interview between December 8th-December 12th.
