Position Summary: Administrative support duties for the Director of Development
Number of Hours: 6 hours per week
Applications are due on Friday, January 17th at 5pm
Responsibilities Include:
Making thank you phone calls for development gifts
Writing thank you cards and notes
Making database entries- after making phone calls, sending thank you letters, or updating constituent information
Interviewing a student and writing the SaintMakers Society monthly email
Updating and posting on social media in regards to development, prospects, and alumni and parent contacts- Facebook and Instagram
Assisting with development trip planning- invitations, phone calls, emails
Taking photographs at certain events or other times
Coordinating event and reception activities with Chaplain, Directors, staff, leadership team and volunteers
Assisting with data cleanup and research while helping maintain the accuracy and integrity of the donor database
Providing basic support on Newsletters, Donor Impact Report, email campaigns and general in-house marketing & mission information
Working with the development team on mailings and other fundraising campaigns
Helping with iGiveCatholic- planning, social media, phone calls, and day of event
Working in MailChimp to help update email lists and create emails
Assisting with the Senior Class Gift Project
Helping with specific development events- Fall Welcome Week, Homecoming Weekend, Tulane Catholic Annual Keynote, iGiveCatholic, Baccalaureate Mass Reception
Required qualifications:
Desire to learn about stewardship and philanthropy in Catholic setting
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside constituents
Ability to prioritize projects with strong problem solving skills
Basic project coordination experience: organizational skills to plan, design, and implement each stage of a project; ability to track a project’s progress
Excellent verbal and written communication skills: must have a spirit of hospitality and be able to write and communicate in both formal and informal settings
Sensitivity to confidential matters and appropriate use of discretion
